Shadow Dominion: Rift
What is Shadow Dominion: Rift?
Rift is a top-down roguelite action game set in the Shadow Dominion universe. You play as Kael — a survivor who can absorb Essence from both warring factions — fighting through procedural Rifts in 15-20 minute runs. It's the first Arcstone Studios title to ship.
What platforms will Rift be on?
Mobile first — iOS and Android. A PC release via Steam will follow. Rift is designed for mobile from the ground up, not ported from PC.
How does Rift's monetization work?
The base game is completely free — three Domains, a full story arc, all core mechanics. Premium Domain expansion packs ($2.99 each) add new story chapters, enemies, and abilities. No energy timers, no gacha, no pay-to-win.
How is Rift different from the CCG?
Shadow Dominion: Rift is a roguelite action game with real-time combat and procedural runs. Shadow Dominion: CCG is a strategy card game. Both are set in the same universe and share lore, factions, and world-building, but they're completely different gameplay experiences.

What is Shadow Dominion: CCG?
Shadow Dominion: CCG is a dark fantasy collectible card game where your deck is your life force. Deploy champions, seize domains, and drain your opponent's essence across a strategic battlefield. It's built for players who want depth, not shortcuts.

We're mobile first — iOS and Android, with PC to follow. Every title we ship is designed for mobile from the ground up.
Will there be other games?
Yes. Beyond Rift and the CCG, we have several titles in planning — including Shadow Dominion: The Adventure, an RPG, and a PvP auto-battler. Every game we make follows the same fair monetization principles.
Monetization & Fair Play
Is Shadow Dominion really free to play?
Yes. You can download and play without spending a cent. Every card in the game is earnable through normal gameplay — quests, matches, and milestones.
What can I actually buy with real money?
You can purchase Shards, the game's single currency. Shards buy booster packs that contain cards. That's the same currency you earn for free by playing. There are no premium tokens, no VIP tiers, and no exclusive paid content.
So paying players get the same cards as free players?
Exactly. Paying only speeds up how fast you collect cards. A free player has access to every single card a paying player does. There is no content locked behind a paywall.
Why only one currency? Most games have two or three.
Because multiple currencies exist to confuse you. Premium tokens, gems, coins, tickets — they're designed to obscure how much you're really spending and to gate the best content behind the paid currency. We think that's dishonest. One currency, one path, same game for everyone.
Will this ever change? Will you add paid advantages later?
No. Our commitment to fair play is codified in our Terms of Service (Section 6). We will never sell competitive advantages. If we ever break that promise, you'll have it in writing that we said we wouldn't.
Does this apply to all Arcstone Studios games?
Every game we publish will follow the same model: one universal currency, earnable or purchasable, with no premium tiers and no pay-to-win mechanics. It's not just a policy — it's why we started this studio.
Accounts & Data
Do I need an account to play?
You'll sign in with your Google account. This lets us sync your decks, collection, and progress across devices so you never lose your stuff.
Can I play on multiple devices?
Yes. Your account, decks, collection, and match history sync automatically across any device you sign into.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can delete your account from the in-game settings. This permanently removes your profile, decks, collection, and match history. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How can I report a bug or give feedback?

Will there be competitive or ranked play?
Yes. Shadow Dominion features skill-based ranked matchmaking so you're always matched against players at a similar level.
How do you handle cheating?
We take fair play seriously. The game includes anti-cheat protections, and we have systems in place to detect and act on violations. Everyone plays by the same rules.
